The ferry Krk was built in 2014 in the Uljanik Shipyard in Pula. It is one of four identical ships built for Jadrolinija due to fleet renewal, along with the Kornati, Brač, and Mljet ferries. Its godmothers are the Croatian taekwondo champions, the sisters Ana and Lucija Zaninović.
