The ferry Jadran was built in the Brodosplit Shipyard in 2009 for the needs of the Split-Stari Grad line, but today it maintains the line Zadar - Preko. The godmother of the ship is the former prime minister Jadranka Kosor. It is the 12th newly built ferry as part of the Government's program for the renewal of the Croatian passenger fleet, adopted in 2004.
