The ferry Brač was built in 2014 in Uljanik Shipyard in Pula. It is one of four identical ships built for Jadrolinija due to fleet renewal, along with the Kornati, Krk, and Mljet ferries. The boat's godmother is the Croatian Paraolympian Ana Sršen.
